When Nigel Keen, Principal Architect with Digby Rowsell Associates contacted us in February 2012 they had already been granted planning permission for a frameless glass extension to this 17th Century Grade II listed building and were compiling a select list of specialist suppliers on behalf of the owners.
Upon receipt of the planning drawings, our design team created a 3D model which gave the clients a “virtual” 360° view of the proposed glass extension. The design features our in house designed frameless pivoting doors and the structure is constructed entirely from frameless double glazed units supported by triple laminated glass beams.
Low emissivity glass and argon filled cavities are used throughout providing a well insulated and comfortable environment all year round.
The clients were delighted with our proposal and the structure was installed in May 2012.
