After taking our brief from the client, we developed a 3D “virtual reality” model of the proposed glass structure which was presented at a meeting of the local Conservation Area Advisory Group. Our design represented an entirely frameless double glazed structure supported by triple laminated glass beams and features our in house designed pivoting doors complete with full height stainless steel locking handles. The individual units are manufactured using the latest low emissivity glass providing year round comfort and significantly reduced heating costs.
The members of the Conservation Area Advisory Group were unanimously in favour of our design and planning permission was granted in the spring of 2010. Construction began in late summer and the project ws completed on time in October 2010.
