We were asked to design and build a frameless glass link as part of a much larger project to restore an early 19th century Grade II listed barn which was to become a lounge and kitchen area connected to a newly constructed building containing bedrooms and garage.

Working closely with the owners and builder we included detailing such as chasing to the new brickwork to reduce the visible channel and at the barn the channel was to be partially hidden by external cladding.

As with many of our projects involving listed buildings, the geometry and detail was a challenge but the installation went without a hitch and as the link spanned between bedroom and living areas, our clients very sensibly applied some after-market film to the street-side elevation to protect their modesty!

All in all, a great project to work on which we completed October 2012 though building work on the rest of the project continued long afterwards.
